Are you an experienced Customer or Stakeholder Liaison Officer? Do you have a background in managing stakeholder engagements and are looking for that next step in your career?
If so, Devon County Council could be a great fit for you, as we are looking to grow our Highways Intelligence Group with the appointment of an Stakeholder Engagement Officer to support the team. The Highways Intelligence Group are responsible for managing communications and the advance sharing of works information on vital highway schemes. They play an essential role in ensuring works operate smoothly whilst reducing down the impact of works on local communities.
Who will I be working with?
The role will engage with a series of Engineers and Technicians who are passionate about delivering high quality infrastructure projects in our community. You will be working in a direct team of approximately 4 people, supported by a Performance Manager. You will need to use expert skills to engage with various stakeholders, from County Councillors, to residents to business owners and beyond.
What projects will I be working on?
Our projects span a huge range from reactive safety repairs to general maintenance to the replacement larger infrastructure project. This may include new bridges and cycle tracks, footways and major roads.
As such, the role offers a great opportunity for variety, with the ability to interact with several community groups, businesses and individuals, enhancing knowledge and skills along the way.

Where will I be based?
Hybrid working is available to all. Our main office is in Great Moor House, Exeter. Although this role will focus on Exeter and East Devon, our engineering projects can be based across Devon.
