About the role:
The Therapy Tree has a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist within our growing service. This role will be to provide assessment, therapy and all associated activities to a caseload of children and young people with communication and or interaction difficulties in both school, clinic, community and any other identified setting. The Therapist will be supporting the neurodiverse population, particularly children & young people with complex high needs to include: communication, cognitive, sensory, physical, social & emotional challenges and Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
Alongside a small community caseload (1 - 2 days per week) the successful applicant will be the designated Therapist placed in a small specialist education provision (2 days per week, Wednesdays and negotiable second day), registered to provide education to up to 12 students aged 7 to 18yrs; all students have autism and/or complex learning needs, many of whom have a history of education disengagement as well as social, emotional and mental health challenges including those associated with trauma and attachment.

You should have at least 3 years experience as a Speech & Language Therapist.
You should have at least 3 years experience and a passion for working with children and young people who have complex high needs to include: communication, cognitive, sensory, physical, social & emotional challenges and Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).

You should have excellent professional communication skills (both oral and written).
You will need to be flexible, pro-active, adaptable and be able to prioritise tasks.
The role will require both independent working and the ability to be a team player as well as working within a busy professional remote office environment.
You should be proficient and confident with ICT. An up to date knowledge of Microsoft systems including Teams would be an advantage.
A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle, with business insurance, for work purposes, is an essential requirement for this role.
Qualified and registered Speech & Language Therapist with full HCPC and RCSLT membership is essential.
