We are looking for a Social Care Assessor to join us in our specialist Adult’s Emergency Duty Service for one year as a secondment.
About the team
Our Adult’s Emergency Duty Service (EDS) provides key and timely responses to urgent out-of-hours contacts in respect of support for adults with care and support needs, and adults at risk and adult safeguarding concerns. We are a small team made up of 3 social care assessors, 3 advanced social workers and 1 team manager.
Shifts include evening and weekend shifts on a 9 week rolling rota basis.
About you
You will:
- Have experience of working within an adult social care setting.
- Be forward-thinking with a solution focused approach.
- Have clear decision-making skills, with effective consideration around application of risk assessment and risk management.
- Be able to balance working independently with being an effective team member, and liaising and escalating matters as needed on shift.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication in creating and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners, carers, adults with care and support needs, and team members.
- Have excellent information recording skills.
