About the team
We apply a One Team mindset - our City Development service comprises of four core functions - Development Management covering both major and householders projects, Building Control including Land Charges and our new Local Plans and Policy team.
Although differentiated by their technical specialisms, throughout the four functions there is a strong appreciation for collaborative working and each area working to support our shared objectives as a service.
We are a high performing service - in 2022, our Land Charges team were recognised for their exceptional customer service, coming 5th place out of 326 Local Authority Land Charges Teams in the Customer Satisfaction Award at the annual Awards for Excellence hosted by Land Data and in 2019 were highly commended in the Most Improved Services category.
