We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Foundation Stage Practitioner to join our highly successful and well-regarded team at Explorers Nursery.
Alongside our Nursery Teacher, the Senior Practitioner will assist with the day to-day running of the nursery as well as providing and caring for children and maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment. You will work closely with the teacher to plan and assess children to ensure they make good progress and are ready for the next stage in their learning journey.
The Senior Practitioner will be an excellent role model for all members of the nursery team and will use their experience and knowledge of the early years to upskill other members of the team and provide consistently high-quality provision for the children. At Explorers Nursery we believe in inspiring learning together, and therefore, your role will be vital in building strong relationships with parents, carers and other professionals.
You must be a dynamic and reflective practitioner, able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and support the leadership team.
You will need to be qualified to an appropriate and recognised qualification, minimum of level 3 in Early Years and Childcare or equivalent & have achieved GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
You will have experience of working with 2-4 year olds, have a proven track record of successful line management and be looking for an opportunity to get fully involved with the life of this busy school.
The Senior Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring that the planning for the wrap around care is high quality and maintains the high standards provided within the core day.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, however, the ability to work flexibly when required would be welcomed. We are also open to considering applications for both term time or all year round for this role.
