Are you an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a team approach and an ability to stay calm under pressure while managing competing priorities? We’re looking for a Senior Commissioning Officer ready to make a real impact in Devon, for our Devon children and young people.
In this pivotal role, you’ll:
- Design and Commission Services for children, young people and their families, in order to improve quality, value for money and reflect local and national priorities.
- Deliver positive outcomes for children through complex project plans, monitoring progress and taking responsibility for problem solving to ensure individual projects and the wider commissioning programme remain on track, deliver on time and in budget.
- Champion quality – You will develop and maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislation, guidelines and government policy in relation to children, young people and families. You will promote quality and safety across all commissioning projects.
- Collaborate across markets and systems using information and data to identify changes or developments in service provision, develop the local market and ensure a relentless focus on outcomes, efficiency, quality and value from commissioned services.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Relevant experience in commissioning for vulnerable groups
- Proven ability to research, collect, collate and analyse data
- A commitment to inclusion, co-production, and putting young voices at the heart of decision-making
- Skills to inspire teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results
