Who Are We Looking For?
We need qualified Secondary teachers in English and Maths to work in schools within 30 km or so of Exeter. A driving licence and the use of a car are essential. Working with small groups, the aim is to help pupils to catch-up in specific areas where Covid-19 disruption has affected their education.
We are looking for colleagues with teaching experience and excellent curriculum knowledge and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with key partners in education.
The School-led Tutoring programme (National Tutoring Programme) delivers tutoring to groups of up to 3 pupils. These young people receive tuition in 1-hour blocks, usually once a week, over a period of 15 weeks. A typical day for our teachers would be spent within a single school, teaching up to 5 groups of 3 young people, within the school day. You may spend more than 1 day each week in the same school, or you may be in two or more schools within the course of a week. As far as we possibly can, we will respect your preferences about the areas you would prefer to work in.
We are currently delivering to 1,000 pupils across 30 schools in and around Exeter, and we need additional qualified secondary teachers to join our friendly and supportive team from September 2022.
