Thank you for your interest in the position of Secondary Intervention Teacher/Literacy Lead. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher who is passionate about raising achievement and securing the best outcomes for all students, particularly the most vulnerable and those with SEND. You will be responsible for delivering English and Mathematics sessions which will also include catch-up programmes, utilising tools such as Fresh Start RWI/Primary RWI. Lead the Fresh Start programme to groups of students primarily in Years 7, 8 and 9.
Ideally, you will be primary trained or have extensive experience in this area and the ability to support the literacy team in driving forward progress for all learners.
This is a newly created post and an exciting opportunity to support the progress of our students to ensure they meet age-related expectations and to support students in keeping up with their peers. We work closely with our partner primary schools and recognise the need for supporting our most vulnerable students so that they can access our comprehensive and broad curriculum.
This role will be critical in ensuring these students make good gains in their English and Mathematics skills so that they are able to access the curriculum as fully as possible.
