Are you passionate about starting a career in wildlife surveys and ecological consultancy?
Devon Wildlife Consultants (DWC) is the commercial consultancy arm of Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT). All of DWC’s profits are used to support this successful wildlife charity. We are looking for Seasonal Assistant Ecologists with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our friendly and close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a Wildlife Trust Consultancy! Key duties will be to assist the team in carrying out field surveys especially evening bat surveys, data analysis, mapping and basic reporting. Due to the smaller size of the consultancy, you will need to be willing, with support and training, to undertake a range of work relating to all aspects of ecological consultancy. You must be prepared to be flexible over travel and hours, as it is a requirement to regularly work late evenings for bat surveys.
We welcome candidates of all backgrounds and abilities who meet the essential criteria for this role. To achieve our vision, we need more people, and more diverse people, on nature’s side. We are committed to developing an inclusive and diverse organisation, in which everyone feels supported, valued, and able to be their full selves.
Employee benefits include:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Agile working arrangements including home working
- Flexitime system
- Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
- Death in Service cover
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Cycle to work scheme
- Training and development opportunities
DWT is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in employment. Registered Charity Number no 213224.
