Tiverton High School is an innovative and successful school situated within easy reach of Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We have over 1,250 students aged 11-16 on roll and have a genuinely comprehensive intake. Our philosophy is grounded on the belief that ‘we are here to help children succeed: it’s that simple’.
We are a co-operative trust school and are in a formal federation with Heathcoat Primary School and Rackenford C of E Primary School.
We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to provide technical support to teaching staff within science classes. We are looking for someone who has a flexible approach and is able to tackle a range of routine duties within the science department.
You will, alongside the Technician Team, assist with the planning and preparation of materials and technical information for practical work. You will have a recognised science qualification and/or laboratory experience or have relevant experience working as a Science Technician.

You will have excellent communication skills with both adults and students alike.
If you are willing to go the extra mile and share our ambition to provide an outstanding education to fantastic children, then we would welcome your application.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
