Role: To manage an effective HR and administrative support service to one of our schools. To work with the COO and Shared Services Team to ensure that the Schools systems, procedures and operations are compliant and in line with Trust policies and expectations.

Connect is an established family of eight large, successful and happy primary schools in Plymouth and Torbay, educating over 3,300 children and 550 staff and we are seeking resilient, determined and proactive individuals to join us.
The vacancies are for a Senior School Operations Lead or a School Operations Lead (we have vacancies based in both locations). Each of these incredibly rewarding roles will involve the successful candidates playing a crucial role in the smooth day to day running of our busy school offices supported by our Shared Services Team.
For each of the posts, the successful candidate will:
• have previous experience of working in an administrative/business role
• have experience of problem solving and service improvement
• be able to manage conflicting priorities, demanding workload and tight deadlines
• have effective communication, influencing and persuasion skills with evidence of forming working relationships and working flexibly across professional and operational boundaries
• be self-motivated, resilient and have a sense of humour!
The post of Senior School Operations Lead will include line management responsibility of some of the School Operations Leads in the Trust as well as of your school’s office staff, so previous experience of leading a team is required for this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Co-ordinating the recruitment processes for the School following the Trust policies and procedures
• Maintaining school personnel records in the Trust HR system including issuing of employment contracts, variations to contracts and starters and leavers
• Developing and maintaining effective administration systems and procedures and oversee the School offices
• Acting as the school’s Health and Safety (H&S) point of contact – work closely with the Trust Facilities and Health and Safety Managers, ensuring that the H&S policies and procedures are followed, and School Premises are in a good condition.
• Being the key liaison between the Trust Shared Services team and the School, and a key contact for staff within the School.
