Required to start September 2025.
Are you a practicing or aspiring SENCO? Then we have a position that will appeal to you.
Upton St James has a high number of SEN children but is driven to support inclusion. The latest OFSTED report stated that ‘The school has worked hard to encourage pupils to come to school regularly and to provide the pastoral support they need to be able to learn. This has resulted in increased attendance. The school has established effective approaches to the management of pupils’ behaviour. Consequently, pupils’ behaviour both in lessons and around the school is strong.’.
Are you a passionate and inclusive Teacher with experience of teaching in most year groups? Do believe in creating a stimulating, enabling, learning environment? Are you able to demonstrate your aspirations as a SENCo in your classroom practice?
Upton St James is an ambitious school with a supportive and strong leadership team and wonderful children. If you are passionate about inclusion and providing a strong relational environment, we want to hear from you!
Upton St James, is a wonderful school in the Upton area of Torquay. Upton St James is based in a Victorian school building but hold modern, nurturing values and pride ourselves on our strong community links.
