SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) - Clawton Primary School (Alumnis Multi-Academy Trust)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Clawton Primary School to provide support (under the direction of the teacher) to a pupil with special educational needs. You will support them to access the curriculum and assist with the participation of school activities. You will work one to one with a pupil, usually in the classroom and be responsible for supporting them by gaining an understanding of their needs and working with the teacher to develop strategies to support them in school. You will undertake general clerical / organisation support for the teacher in relation to the student.
This post is fixed term until 31st August 2029 linked to SEN funding.
Previous experience of working with children or people-facing roles is desirable as good interpersonal skills are essential. You will be proactive and a positive team player; able to work constructively as part of a team to ensure that the learning environments meet the needs of the child you will be supporting to allow them to become confident, capable and have a positive self-image. Good communication skills are essential.
