This post is full time to include MTA duty.
Teaching Assistant: 26.25 hours per week, NJC Grade C, £12.18 per hour
Mealtime Assistant: 5 hours per week, NJC Grade A, £11.59 per hour
This post is fixed term linked to EHCP funding for a specific support for a pupil with special educational needs. To commence October 2024.
Required to join our successful and caring team at Cheriton Bishop. The post is primarily to work as a 1:1 support for a child in KS1 with special educational needs, as well as supporting other children in the school. We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who can be flexible and is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively.

Ideally, you will:
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
- Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;
- Be willing to work as part of a team;
- Be able to use your own initiative when required;
- Have experience in a similar role in a school;

You should have a good knowledge of phonics plus literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
