About the Service
Devon County Council have a number of exciting opportunities for people to provide administrative and business support for the SEND Statutory Team. These posts are responsible for supporting the team to manage the administrative operations of the service including the Education Health and Care plan processes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs in Devon.
About the Role
- Interesting and challenging role within a welcoming and supportive team.
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks that helps them to deliver the statutory duties and processes in relation to individual Education Health Care Needs assessments and reviews of Education Health and Care plans.
- Manage mailboxes, telephone communications and support the effective communication of the service with families, schools and other DCC colleagues.
- The work is primarily office based in person, with opportunities to work from home in line with Devon County Council agile working policy.
- Undertake a range of administrative and business support tasks as required to support the team to deliver its priorities.
About You
- You will need to be well organised and motivated, a self-starter and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- You will have strong IT and literacy skills.
- Ability to manage documents, files and data with accuracy and care.
- Knowledge of GDPR and how to manage risk in this area.
- Knowledge or experience of the EHCP statutory process or some Special Educational Needs or education would be beneficial but not essential.
