Building a Strong & Vibrant Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector in North Devon and Torridge.
Funded by National Lottery Community Fund.
Thanks to a successful joint funding bid by North Devon Voluntary Services (NDVS) & Taw and Torridge Voluntary Services (TTVS) through the National Lottery Community Fund we are looking to recruit a Rural and Coastal (Inclusion & Accessibility) Connector.
Are you passionate about fostering stronger, more inclusive rural and coastal communities? We are seeking a Rural & Coastal Connector to help enhance the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector across North Devon and Torridge. In this role, you will work with local organizations, community members, and partners to remove barriers, promote accessibility, and ensure services are available to all. You will travel to place-based communities, engaging with people in different settings and helping to bridge gaps in service delivery. If you’re motivated by community engagement, relationship-building, and creating lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
The overall project objective is to build a strong, vibrant and connected VCSE sector, using a community development alliance model, to help bring about social change and improve the quality of life across North Devon and Torridge.
The successful candidate will be passionate about understanding and supporting community social action mobilisation. The appointee will be employed by project partner North Devon Voluntary Services and work from Barnstaple, but with the need to travel across Northern Devon. Experience of working in a similar role would be a benefit.
