Owlets is a purpose-built Nursery which offers fantastic facilities on a beautiful site within the main University of Exeter Streatham Campus. The Nursery is part of the Exeter College Group and is in partnership with the University of Exeter.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to be room senior at our nursery and to provide excellent care and education under the Early Years Foundation Stage.
As part of the Nursery Management Team you will be responsible for the supervision and organisation of your room and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to. You will also be required to undertake the daily duties of a Nursery Nurse, which include providing a stimulating, challenging and safe environment for children, providing curriculum plans as required, liaising with parents/carers and recording the learning and development of the children in your key group in their individual learning journeys.
The successful applicant will need to hold a recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 (such as NVQ in CCLD, Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce), or equivalent, and as a minimum have a wide range and breadth of experience of working as a Nursery Nurse with children under five years old for at least two years. Previous experience of being a room senior would be desirable but not essential. You will have an in depth understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and have a commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.
