About the Role
We currently have one part-time, permanent vacancy for a Referral Coordinator based in our Children’s Front Door Service (MASH) in Exeter.
As first point of contact for Front Door, you will filter and prioritise incoming enquiries, accurately entering the details into a database for the attention of a Social Worker.
Promoting DCC Customer Service Standards, you will respond positively and professionally to telephone calls from members of the public requesting information and guidance from Children’s Social Care.
About you
With previous experience of working alongside families with multiple and complex needs, you will have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be competent and adept at offering high support during times of high challenge.
Skills and Experience required:
- have a GCSE pass in English and Math (or equivalent)
- previous administration experience, preferably working within social care
- have excellent communication skills to engage with children, young people and families from differing abilities understanding and language
- a positive, professional attitude and approach to work
- have excellent IT skills to keep records up to the date
