The role of Quality Assurance Manager occupies a unique organisational position in Adopt South West, having oversight of the whole service through the Quality Assurance processes and systems. For that reason, the post-holder will act as a professional Practice Lead for the service, maintaining up-to-date expert knowledge of good practice and developments, both regionally and nationally.

The post holder will join the quality assurance team where they will share three key areas of responsibility:

  1. Panel advisor for Adopt South West Adoption Panels
  2. Management of the Quality Assurance Framework
  3. Agency Advisor of ‘Best Interest Decisions’ for Local Authorities in the region


You will therefore need to have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Work to tight deadlines and be effective under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise and manage high workloads
  • Produce work of a high standard


It is essential that you have:

  • Certificate of qualification in Social Work (CQSW) or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) or equivalent
  • National social work registration.
