Required from September 2022.
Chulmleigh Community College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and friendly person to join our committed and hardworking Pupil Support Team.
Candidates will need to be confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to provide efficient, friendly and caring support to our pupils. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Assistant Headteacher and the Academy SENDCo and be a key point of contact for pupil enquiries during the school day.
Main duties within the role will be to provide pastoral support to pupils and act as a contact for SEN and safeguarding administration. The role will include the supervision of pupils in the Pupil Support Office during the college day and the co-ordination and monitoring of the impact of interventions. The post holder will need to work flexibly organising their own workload and priorities.
The successful candidate will also be required to support the first aid team at the college acting as the first point of contact for pupils. First aid experience and qualifications would be an advantage, but training would be provided. The role will also include creating and updating medical health care plans and acting as point of liaison for the School Nurse.
This is an important role within the Academy, and we are seeking an individual who is committed to improving the experience of education for our pupils.
This interesting and varied post will be working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 4pm, term time only (this allows for a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).

As employers, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and, in that regard, have appropriate policies and procedures.
