Provider Relations and Individual Contracts Officer – Finding a Home for Children Team
Fixed Term 2 Years
The Finding a Home for Children team is seeking a Provider Relations and Individual Contracts Officer to support the wider finding a home activity, build positive providers relations and ensure delivery of outcomes for children and young people in the care of Devon County Council.
What the role looks like
You will be a senior member of a dedicated team working with internal services and external providers to find homes for children and young people in care across Devon.
- You will undertake regular contract review meetings with external providers to ensure that outcomes for children in care are met and ensuring that support is in line with childrens needs and agreed spend.
- You will support external providers, carers and internal teams to resolve finance queries in a timely way, in line with Devon County Council’s agreed processes and approval structure whilst ensuring that this is aligned to wider external contracts and frameworks.
- You will manage your own time and think creatively whilst managing competing demands and priorities. You must be a team player, working within an established and experienced team.
- You will develop and implement ways of building our relationship with external providers across Devon, to support ensuring that we are keeping Devon children and young people in Devon.
- You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport and a positive working relationships with social workers, budget holders, providers and partners, commissioners, and finance.
- You will ensure that processes within the team are followed and act as a point of contact. You will also support in identifying process improvements, and when needed, ensuring that improvements or changes are communicated and implemented effectively in the team.
- You will have line management responsibilities for a small number of people within the team.
