The school
Our 40 place independent special school provides very small group and individualised learning for pupils aged 7-16. The therapeutic principles of THRIVE® underpin our motivational and progressive curriculum. Our pupils have individualised timetables with a range of enrichment activities and a focus on social and emotional development. The school is located over two sites; West Yarner is situated on the outskirts of Dartington and is a base for our primary age children (KS1/KS2); Seale Hayne is our school site for secondary age children.
We would like a primary trained teacher to work mostly at our West Yarner site, starting in September 2025. The role may involve teaching at different locations including either school site and therefore the successful candidate will be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle.

The person:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred although consideration will be given to education professionals with other teaching qualifications
- A commitment to positive behaviour management
- Experience of special education and a passion for working with pupils with SEN and a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties

Salary:
Full time £28,060 - £36,300 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. This is the actual salary you will receive as you will be paid all year round including the school holidays. Company benefits include pension, retailer discounts, online GP and employee wellbeing programme.
