Little Berries, a thriving pre-school for children aged 0 - 4, located within the beautiful rural grounds of Kentisbury Primary School, is looking to recruit an inspirational Setting Manager.
Little Berries is a Governing Body pre-school and forms part of the West Exmoor Federation, a successful, local authority maintained federation of schools. The West Exmoor Federation prides itself on providing a friendly, welcoming and caring environment within which children and staff alike can flourish and find their best-selves. Governors and senior leaders value well-being and prioritise realistic workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of Little Berries, ensuring the delivery of excellent pre-school provision within a safe, caring and stimulating environment. Release time is incorporated into the role for undertaking administrative and management task, with support provided by a deputy manager and members of the federation leadership and administration team.
The successful applicant will be:
- Warm, patient, calm and caring with a genuine love and enjoyment of working with young children
- Highly committed to upholding the Little Berries ethos to ensure a welcoming, child centred and family friendly environment
- An excellent Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) practitioner with proven practical experience of implementing high quality care and learning opportunities
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding and OFSTED requirements
- Enthusiastic about maximising the wonderful outdoor space available at Little Berries
- Confident, flexible, well organised and articulate with good administrative and IT skills
- A team player who will bring out the best in our passionate and experienced team
- Able to work on their own initiative and enjoy a degree of autonomy
- Suitably qualified with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
