Newtown Community Pre-school Play Leader responsible for Safeguarding
Due to the retirement of our long-standing Preschool Manager, Newtown Community Preschool is seeking a minimum Level 3 qualified practitioner as Play Leader responsible for Safeguarding. The hours to be worked are flexible subject to the applicant’s commitments but are for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
We are seeking someone able to provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and to maintain a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment. To share responsibility for planning and delivering an Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with the other Play Leader (SENDco). To be jointly responsible for the planning and management of the day to day running of the provision. To be the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and to take responsibility for any actions related to this.
The successful candidate must have post-qualification experience of working in early education and childcare, ideally in a senior or supervising role, and a sound understanding of child development and children’s needs.
