Newtown Community Pre-school Play Leader responsible for Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
Due to the retirement of our long-standing Preschool Manager, Newtown Community Preschool is seeking a minimum Level 3 qualified practitioner as Play Leader responsible for SEND. The hours to be worked are flexible subject to the applicant’s commitments but are for a minimum of 25 hours or more per week.
We are seeking someone able to provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and to maintain a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment. To share responsibility for planning and delivering an Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with the other Play Leader (Safeguarding). To be jointly responsible for the planning and management of the day to day running of the provision. To be SENDco and to take responsibility for any actions related to this.
The applicant will have experience of working with children with additional needs, aged 2 to 5. Ideally, they will have experience of leading staff in providing for the needs of children with Special Educational needs and disabilities in their previous setting(s), and other senior leadership experience if possible.
