Our highly regarded primary school is seeking a warm and enthusiastic casual Play Assistant who could provide cover for staff absence on an ad-hoc basis, either before school (7.45am - 8.45am) at lunchtime (12pm - 1pm) or in the after school club (3.30pm - 6pm).

The successful candidate(s) will need to be keen to learn, possess a positive attitude, want to make a difference and be committed to improving the life chances and outcomes for every child. They will need to demonstrate that they possess exemplary professional, creative and personal qualities and that they have the enthusiasm to engage our pupils in positive playtimes and active after school sessions.

The casual post involves promoting and supervising active play and ensuring the safety of all children during lunchtimes or as part of our Breakfast and After School Club. The ideal candidate must be vigilant and possess the energy and enthusiasm to create and lead fun and active sessions.

A First Aid qualification is desirable, as is experience of working with children. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures within a primary school environment is essential.

Please note that this position is neither a permanent or temporary position, and there is no guarantee of the offer of any minimum quantum of work. Assignments may be offered at the sole and absolute discretion of the Trust when available, and there is no obligation on any worker to accept a minimum number of assignments, if offered.
