About the role

Public Health Nursing is made up of Health Visitors, School Nurses, Staff Nurses and Community Health Workers providing support to children and families in Devon and promoting child health and education. It performs an essential role in protecting and safeguarding vulnerable children and families. The role involves providing administrative support to clinical team leaders and colleagues across Devon.

What skills & qualities we need from you?:

Able to use a laptop (TEAMS/Outlook/Calendars/Microsoft Edge/Excel/Word). Training will be provided.

Positive & enthusiastic attitude towards learning and supporting your colleagues.

Experience of note taking (typed) at meetings or willingness and aptitude to learning the task.

Good communication skills & the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues.

Ability to plan workload for the day and be adaptable when service needs might change.

Ability to think on your feet and work with colleagues to resolve problems.

Remain calm, patient and resilient under pressure.

Being responsive and pro-active.

Excellent organisation and prioritising skills.

Flexible attitude to tasks.

Ability to work unsupervised.


Main responsibilities 

Drafting & responding to emails.

Note taking at virtual TEAMS meetings (typed).

Uploading/downloading evidence to/from internal systems.

Inputting data into spreadsheet/word documents.

Ordering stationary, other office supplies, raising Purchase Orders and receiving deliveries.

Providing direct support to Managers.

Disseminating newsletters and communications.
