Plympton Academy seeks to appoint a highly competent and enthusiastic TA/Technician to join our successful PE department. You will provide support to the PE department to include organising and preparing trips, visits and fixtures and providing help for students with Special Educational Needs. This role also involves working individually with students by delivering small group intervention programmes.
Applicants must be fully competent in Literacy and Numeracy and possess a kind and compassionate nature. You must be reliable and able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Experience in first aid and sport or fitness and health related qualifications would be beneficial, but not essential. There is the potential for additional work-related hours for the right candidate within our growing Community Sport offer.
It is essential that the post holder has excellent interpersonal skills. They will have experience working closely with students and be able to foster positive links to help them realise their academic potential and support their pastoral needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to gain experience of working in the education sector and has a passion for improving outcomes for young people.
