Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 August 2025 - Term time only
Role Overviews:
Teaching Assistant (30.83 hours per week – 39 weeks per year):
- One-to-One Support: You will work closely with a specific child or children, ensuring they receive tailored support to meet their educational and personal development needs. This may involve helping with classwork, supporting behavioural development, and providing emotional support as required.
- General Classroom Support: In addition to one-to-one duties, you will assist the classroom teacher with general classroom tasks, which may include group work, supporting children with varying abilities, and helping with lesson preparation and organisation.
- Collaborating with Teachers and SENCo: You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure that all pupils, especially those with SEN, are receiving the support required to succeed in the classroom environment.
Salary: TA: Grade C – Scale Point 4 actual salary = £16,491.96
Meal Time Assistant (5 hours per week – 38 weeks per year):
- Supervision during Lunchtime: Ensuring that children enjoy a safe, positive, and engaging lunchtime. Duties may include monitoring the dining hall, encouraging good table manners, and resolving any minor disputes or incidents in a calm and constructive manner.
- Outdoor Play Supervision: Supporting the children during outdoor play, encouraging positive interactions, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during recess.
- Encouraging Healthy Eating and Social Skills: Promoting healthy eating habits and social interactions during meal times by offering guidance and encouragement in a positive way.
- Total Hours: 35.83 hours per week (combined TA and MTA roles)
Salary: MTA Grade A – Scale point 2 actual annual salary = £2,522.02
