Minibus Driver(s) - White Rock Primary School

Required for as soon as possible is a School Minibus Driver(s) to be employed on a casual basis, until 31st Aug 2023 in the first instance, to provide a safe and considerate transport service for our pupils and staff on educational visits or other similar activities.
A full clean driving licence with D1 rating is essential as is a willingness to undertake any necessary training. Any training cost will be funded by the school.
You must also have excellent interpersonal skills a pleasant manner and flexibility with hours is desirable.
This is a casual hours contract where hours of work will be agreed on a mutually acceptable basis as and when the need arises.
Duties will include:
- Ensuring the safety of pupils at all times in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation
- Observing at all times the current legislation and vehicle licensing laws
- Ensuring pupils are treated with politeness and courtesy at all times
- To drive with due care and attention
- To be fully conversant with Fire Control Procedures in order to assist in carrying out emergency evacuation
- To inform the Operations Manager / Headteacher immediately of any hazardous situation, non-compliance of Health and Safety rules and threat to the well-being of pupils and staff
- To ensure that the minibuses are kept clean and in good condition and undertaking regular visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water and fuels
