The Medical Tuition Service are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and pragmatic Learning Support Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant, responsible for delivering outreach interventions, to join our dedicated team. One to one and small group interventions are an important part of our Curriculum and Therapeutic Offer in that it makes teaching and learning accessible to every student no matter how complex their health need. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo and Reach Coordinator to ensure each student has access to a bespoke programme of support.
This is an exciting time to be joining our service as we move towards recognition as an educational establishment for young people with medical needs, who are currently unable to attend their on roll school.
The post holder will be required to facilitate one to one and small group interventions for those young people who are disengaged or falling behind their peers due to their health.
The successful applicant will have a secure knowledge of literacy, numeracy and nurture across a wide range of ages. Applicants from either Primary or Secondary education will be considered.
