We are an organisation who provide support and education to children and young people who are struggling to access and succeed in school. If children and young people find school challenging, then sometimes they need more.
Our vision is to journey alongside the children and young people that we work with beginning with wherever they are at; then journeying with them, to support their success in navigating life’s varied adventures and challenges, whilst creating lifelong positive personal outcomes along the way.
Co Adventurers is a team of fully trained and experienced mentors, youth workers, teachers, outdoor practitioners and therapists who have a track record of providing meaningful, validating and empowering experiences for children and young people to enable them to thrive.
Our work involves supporting young people who may be experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or mental health barriers to their learning. We work closely with learners’ support networks, both professional and familial, and try to create a holistic and engaging place for learners to grow.
We are looking to grow our team and are seeking individuals to join us in a variety of roles including forest school practitioners and learning mentors/pastoral support.
We are seeking, enthusiastic, committed individuals who have the qualities to work effectively with children and young people who experience significant barriers to learning and may present with challenging behaviour. We are seeking new team members who would be willing to go that `extra mile' in journeying with young people as they discover and achieve their full potential. Empathy, creativity, perseverance and a belief that all children can succeed in the right environments, are all essential qualities for these roles.
You will become part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team who work together to ensure the very best that we can give. Co Adventurers will offer support and training where this may be needed.
If this is a role that interests you, please contact us for an informal chat where we can share our passion and vision further with you. d.slater@coadventurers.org / n.collins@coadventurers.org.
Co Adventurers, are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
For these posts, pre-employment checks will be carried out and the successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
