An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Learning & Development Adviser within the corporate Learning and Development Team in the People and Culture directorate.
The post holder would be joining a dynamic team who develop and collaborate with other teams within the council in order to support the training and development needs of the organisation.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with substantial experience of the whole learning cycle, specifically designing and delivering learning content, who thinks creatively and originally, and has strong communication and organisational skills.
You will work collaboratively with the Learning and Development Team Manager and other team members, as well as key colleagues within our service and across the organisation to provide the highest level of support for workforce development matters. . You will carry out project work, as well as design and deliver workshops and training online and in person where necessary.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong learning and development background,
experience of and is happy working in a fast-paced environment, willing to be flexible in the areas and type of work they are asked to do, and comfortable with working on multiple projects simultaneously.
We are also seeking:
• Outstanding prioritisation skills and able to work to tight timeframes
• Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to manage demanding and challenging discussions sensitively and effectively, and the ability to write concise and clear documents.
• Experience or ability to learn skills in learning & development, including identifying workforce development needs, developing and implementing workforce development plans, evaluating impact and measuring effectiveness.
• A people-orientated approach and be enthusiastic and positive about helping others develop to achieve their potential.
• Experience of working with a learning management system as an administrator, or a clear capability of learning new technology quickly
