Reports to: DCFP Chair of the Partnership and Statutory Partners

The Devon Children and Families Partnership was an early adopter of Working Together 2018 and has developed a strong network of expertise and connectivity across communities and services delivering support to children and families.

We are seeking an Independent Scrutineer, to support the progress of our partnership work.  This is an exciting period of change in Devon, as we plan a new way of working together across agencies to deliver the right support, in the right place at the right time. This is bringing a cultural shift, to work together early using a restorative approach, supporting families build resilience and independence. 

We are looking for someone who could work flexibly, not necessarily based in Devon.  Someone with energy and commitment to safeguarding children.  Able to offer challenge and support the Statutory Partners in bringing about change that delivers on the vision to make Devon a great place for children to grow up.  Someone who puts children and young people at the heart of the work, to respond to need and achieve better outcomes, by understanding lived experiences and lessons from practice reviews to strengthen families and safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
