You will support OT staff to work closely with a range of other teams and sectors, as part of joined-up health and social care arrangements for the delivery of services to the public. You will also work closely with the Professional Lead to assist with the countywide development of professional practice.
You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of working in social care or health environments, including having undertaken complex case management and exercising extensive clinical knowledge. You will have some experience of supervising staff, and the ability and enthusiasm to develop your existing management and leadership skills, together with a commitment to supporting colleagues.
You will need to be able to negotiate and influence others, and create effective working relationships. You will need to proactively support and supervise staff effectively, within a performance framework, and provide sound consistent clinical advice, demonstrating good judgement. You will need to be an excellent team-player in order to contribute to the management and throughput of work.
Representation of the service at a variety of county and locality-wide meetings will also be required, together with the ability to think innovatively and implement change. Above all else, you will need to be confident in your practice, person-centred and keen to lead, manage and develop an established team.
