Housing Options Officer - Torridge District Council

- £24,948 - £30,151 per annum (pay award pending)
Hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in our offices)
The successful applicant will be working as part of a busy team and will be undertaking either a triage or case work role to prevent and relieve homelessness.
Previous experience of carrying out frontline Housing Options work would be an advantage, but at the very least you will have an understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and experience of working within housing or a housing related support service where you carried out assessments and provided advice and support. You should have an enquiring mind and enjoy problem solving, have good negotiation and communication skills and be confident about your ability to manage challenging behaviour. You will be required to carry out home visits in a range of circumstances and as lone worker.
This role will include travelling and a DBS check will be required.
