About the Role
The purpose of a Housing advisor is to give comprehensive and realistic housing advice and support to Care Leavers who are rough sleeping or at high risk of rough sleeping.
Through building professional relationships with permanence and transition teams and District Councils across Devon the role will ensure that comprehensive and advice and support is available to vulnerable Care Leavers, either through direct work or through advising Personal Advisors, Homelessness Prevention workers and others about available services.
The post holder will take a person-centred approach to engage Care Leavers with complex behavioural and emotional needs in the homelessness prevention pathway.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team engaging young people, families/carers and partner agencies in early intervention solutions to prevent rough sleeping.
