We're looking for an enthusiastic HR Helpline Assistant to join our HR Support Services Team providing high quality service, advice, and support to Devon County Council and their customers.
Delivering great service is at the core of what we do, so you’ll need to have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a customer-facing environment. You’ll also need to be highly organised, with an ability to prioritise your workload effectively to ensure that accurate advice is provided, and activities are progressed in a timely manner.
Previous experience within an HR or systems support role is desired, but not essential.
What will you do?
- Providing high-quality, policy-driven, HR advice to Devon County Council and their customers, including supporting with HR system queries
- Promote self-service and other methods of finding information, such as our SharePoint and intranet sites.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection rules.
- Carry out regular administration tasks that support systems within People and Culture.
- Liaise with other teams across People and Culture to problems solve complex queries and ensure deadlines and KPI’s are met.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials to educate employees on HR policies, procedures, and guides to use our self-service systems.
- Assist in the implementation of new/updated HR initiatives.
You will support the Helpline Manager by working across teams within People and Culture and Devon County Council in achieving its business objectives and People Strategy whilst promoting a strong customer focussed environment.
