There is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Corporate Safety Team, to deliver a programme of work, to effectively embed a health and safety culture within Torbay Council. This work has support from the very top of the organisation, with additional resources having been made available to achieve this.
The postholder will provide day to day Health and Safety Support to the wider team, managing the Health and Safety Management System, Assure (SHE) to facilitate reporting, investigating and monitoring of Health and Safety performance.
We are looking for a committed individual, with excellent IT skills, capable of supporting H&S Officers in carrying out investigations, providing support to deliver key projects and targets. You will need to be a confident communicator, able to convey advice and support to managers in the use of the Assure system, and to ensure uptake of core Health and Safety training courses.
