We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual with a genuine interest in grounds maintenance and gardening to join our team. You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service across a variety of locations within the Torridge district.
As part of the role, you’ll also be supported to develop your skills and knowledge through a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative qualification at Bicton College.
You will work alongside your colleagues, undertaking a variety of duties to include; grass cutting, hedge trimming, sports pitch maintenance, weeding, planting and all other aspects of grounds maintenance. The role will also involve assisting the Ranger team to undertake nature conservation work at the Council’s Local Nature Reserves and Northam Burrows Country Park. Tasks will involve scrub clearance, tree weeding, coppicing, tree planting, meadow cutting, green hay, fencing and other duties aimed at improving biodiversity on these sites.
