About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Foundation Stage Senior Practitioner to support the leadership and delivery of high-quality early years education within our EYFS setting. You will play a key role in supporting staff, modelling outstanding practice, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children. This role is working in the 2 year old room as the room lead.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager / EYFS Lead in the day-to-day running of the setting
- Lead by example, delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS
- Act as a key person and support staff with observations, assessments, and planning
- Monitor children’s progress and support targeted interventions where needed
- Support safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements
- Mentor and support practitioners, students, and apprentices
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
- Contribute to staff meetings, training, and reflective practice
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
- Significant experience working within an EYFS setting
- Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
- Ability to lead, inspire, and support colleagues
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Enhanced DBS check (required)
