We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, patient and motivated Foundation Stage Practitioner to join our team at East Worlington Primary School. We are delighted to offer this post on a fixed term basis until 31st December (with a potential to extend).
The successful candidate will work with the teacher and senior staff to ensure a creative learning environment within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The role will involve high quality practice through a range of interesting and stimulating activities and supervision of individuals and groups of children in the nursery or foundation stage unit.
The role requires working closely with the Early Years Teacher in planning and evaluating daily/weekly learning and care.
Candidates should demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Ideally hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, although not essential.
- Hold suitable Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience and positivity
- The ability to support colleagues, use positive behaviour management strategies and ensure the school continues its excellent provision for all pupils
The post is offered for 14 hours per week. The working pattern is for 3.5 hours per day over 4 days per week (not a Tuesday). Ideally the hours are from 9am – 12.30pm but there is flexibility for the right candidate which can be discussed at interview.
