West Croft School is a large three-form entry, rapidly improved, maintained school and nursery in the beautiful town of Bideford.
An exciting opportunity to be part of our team has become available in the form of a Teaching Assistant deployed to our Forest School area.
This post is initially temporary on a 1 year contract due to budgetary constraints with potential to become permanent.
West Croft has been graded as ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted, with the inspectors stating that ‘staff provide pupils with a rich variety of experiences which strengthen independence and build character’.
The successful candidate will work under the instruction/guidance of the Forest School Leader to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist in the general management of pupils during Forest School sessions.
Experience of Forest School and Outdoor Learning is highly desirable.
