The Learning Academy Trust has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Officer to join our exceptional, friendly and professional centralised Business Team and growing School Trust! This is a brand-new role as part of an evolving team where you will get a chance to achieve a real sense of personal fulfilment knowing that what you do has a direct impact on the lives of our children.
Reporting to the Operational Finance Lead you will provide support the day-to-day activities across all areas of the Finance function. You’ll be organised with a keen eye for detail. No day will be the same, and your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks from processing and placing orders, processing invoices and staff expense claims, reconciling monthly supplier statements, plus other tasks as directed.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, is confident using a variety of IT systems and enjoys problem solving. You’ll be happy to work independently whilst following processes, and collaboratively as part of the wider Finance team. Applicants must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues across The Trust and external suppliers.
Experience and/or knowledge of school finance would be advantageous but not essential. We are a Trust where we are committed to developing our colleagues to enable them to flourish in their roles, therefore you will be fully supported by a caring and professional team.
The post is full time, but we are open to flexible working including part time hours / weeks - please state your request on your application form.
