Located on the stunning Jurassic Coast and with the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close by, Exmouth Community College is one of the largest secondary schools in the country with over 2300 students.
The College's Finance Team ensure the effective and efficient management of the College Finance function by ensuring that resources are directed to enable the operational delivery of the education function through the delivery of a high-class finance service. This includes ensuring all statutory returns are compiled within exact time frames and that all of our finance duties are met in line with Academy financial procedures. To protect the Academy from risks associated with fraud and non-compliance to financial standards and regulations.
The College is seeking an experienced, organised and efficient individual to lead the Finance Team.
As Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring high standards of financial integrity within the College. You will be responsible and manage the required financial processes, utilising IRIS Financials and the IRIS Financial Planner, our nominated accounting systems. This includes ensuring the accurate completion of purchase invoice entry, sales invoice creation, nominal journal posting, accruals & prepayments, BACS payment batches, budget holder maintenance and monthly payroll and bank reconciliation. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Academy Trust Handbook.
