Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and organised individual to join the Culm Valley Federation, as Federation Business Manager. This is a full-time permanent position due to start in April 2025. The successful candidate will be based at Kentisbeare Primary School but there will be a requirement to travel to the other schools in the Federation on a weekly basis. A pattern of hybrid working between home and school will be facilitated, ensuring there is dedicated and focussed time to fulfil the role. Experience of managing multiple schools, education finance and school procedures is desirable.
Reporting to the Executive Headteacher, the Federation Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Federation administration team, including managing all finances and overseeing all premises, personnel and Health and Safety matters. This will include the handling of sensitive data and experience of GDPR compliance. Whilst managing the admin team, they will lead all communication with parents, governors and other stakeholders. Plans are in place for a handover with the current FBM and there are recent highly successful Health & Safety and Finance audits in place, to enable future successful progression.
The successful candidate will be a key part of the development, administration and operation of the Federation. They will be supported by the Executive Headteacher and Local Authority personnel and working relationships with other Federation Business Managers will be encouraged.
Although this is largely a term time role, planned work in the school holidays can mean that there is flexibility to take some leave during term time.
