Due to the continuous growth of both our pre-school and wrap around care we are looking for a fun loving, reliable, compassionate person to join our team from January 2025, or sooner if available.
The ideal candidate will be able to work alongside our dedicated team and setting Manager to further develop our wrap around care and our under 2's offer.
Ideally we are looking for someone with a minimum level 2 relevant childcare qualification. You also need a love for young children and a desire to provide excellent early education in a safe, fun, engaging environment and supporting children with their learning and development and getting them ready for their onward educational journey is a must.
For this role, you must be able to work under your own initiative as well as be able to take direction. You will be able to demonstrate a passion for promoting the well being, safeguarding and development of the children in our care and you must have a fun loving nature.
We are a pack away setting in a village hall. The setting up and packing away of the setting involves pulling and pushing equipment out from our cupboard and from under the stage and carrying tables, chairs and other equipment.
27 hours term time are available as follows:
- Tuesdays - 7.45am - 3.15pm
- Wednesdays - 7.45am - 5.30pm
- Thursdays - 7.45am - 5.30pm
- Fridays may also be available in the future
This would be a fixed contract until August 2025. Staff hours are reviewed every September and are based on the demands of the setting.
We also run a Holiday Club in February and October Half Term, one week at Easter and 4/5 weeks in the Summer, 3 days a week from 9am to 3pm. You would also be expected to work during these Holiday Clubs a minimum of 1/2 days each week.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check (which you will required to pay for) as well as Level 2 safeguarding and paediatric first aid. Safeguarding and first aid can be gained once in the job.
