Due to ever increasing child numbers and new government funding eligibility, Bow Bears Pre-School CIO is looking to recruit a vibrant, pro-active and passionate person to join our team as soon as possible.
Whilst a full and relevant qualification would be advantageous, for the right person we’d be happy to support you through an apprenticeship.
We are looking for someone to provide a caring, supportive and engaging environment, supporting our children in the start to their educational journey. You must be able to work under your own initiative as well as be able to take direction.
We are a very busy setting with a mixed age range from 6 months to school leavers. We also care for school age children through our wrap around care.
We are open 8am - 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 4.30pm on Friday. In September, we launched our new holiday club which we currently run two days per week during school holidays.
This post is for approx. 30 hours per week, or we would consider splitting the role for the right candidates.
Your main responsibilities would be:
- Provide high quality inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children in a safe and secure learning environment
- Prepare and plan for a rich and varied curriculum, whilst implementing the EYFS, to meet the individual needs of all children attending the setting
- Be part of a keyworker system and liaise with parents/carers and other staff members
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling effective communication with parents or carers and within the staff team
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
You will be able to demonstrate a passion for promoting the well-being, safeguarding and development of the children in our care and you must have a fun loving nature.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check as well as Level 2 safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid.
