EYFS Teaching Assistants (5 posts) - Bidwell Brook School

Bidwell Brook School in Dartington, part of the Learn to Live Federation, is a Special School for children and young people aged 3 - 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.

We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work in our Early Years and Key Stage 1 Department to commence September or October 2022.

Working under the guidance of the teaching staff, you will support pupils as part of a class team. We offer a child centred curriculum and you will enable our pupils to access learning opportunities and to achieve their full potential both educationally and emotionally. You will help deliver pre-planned learning, care and therapy programmes in an inspiring learning environment.

Previous experience of working with young children in an early learning environment is preferable. An understanding of EYFS curriculum, continuous provision, encouraging independent problem solving, creative play and learning through play is desirable, along with some SEN experience.

You will have excellent communication skills, IT skills, be patient, caring, flexible and resilient.

We have a variety of hours available ranging from two days per week to five days per week. Our working day is 8.50am to 3.20pm.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
