Travel across all sites is required within this role, however your main ‘base’ could be at any of our main campuses – St. Austell, Stoke Climsland or Camborne in Cornwall, or Bicton College in East Devon

Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and operational leader for the role of Director of Estates and Capital. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Group’s Estates and Capital functions, ensuring alignment with our corporate objectives and strategies. This is a pivotal role that requires a visionary approach to manage our estate effectively and adapt to evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction and advice on estate management.
• Ensure the built environment is safe, sustainable, and fit for the future.
• Oversee governance, service standards, and financial management of Estates and Capital Projects.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including Health & Safety and risk management.
• Develop and implement strategies that support the Group’s mission and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:
• Degree or professional qualification in relevant subject
• Leadership & Management qualification Level 5+ or significant equivalent experience
• Proven experience in estates management, capital project oversight, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of governance, sustainability, and compliance issues.
• Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
